Hello, I am Dr. Craig Schlie. In my Redding California office I offer a broad range of oral surgical and restorative procedures related to general dentistry and dental implants.

These procedures involve placing various different types of dental implants, cosmetic periodontal (gum) surgery, grafting of the gums, alveolar bone, and sinuses. In addition, I restore the dental implants with crowns, bridges, and other prosthetic devices. 

I am licensed by the states of California and Nebraska as a General Practitioner, registered by the state of California as a Continuing Education Provider, and I am credentialed by the American Academy of Implant Dentistry (AAID) as an Associate Fellow.

I am dedicated to the pursuit of dental implant excellence. I began placing and restoring dental implants in Pasadena, CA, in 1988. With three colleagues, Robert Redinger, CDT, Fred Flinn, DDS, OMS, and Fred Stevens, DDS, OMS, I founded the Pasadena Society of Implant Dentistry in 1990 and served as its Treasurer and President; and provided education to doctors and other interested parties in dental implantology. I have served Shasta County since 1995.

I have belonged to and quit several organizations (ADA, CDA, NCDS, and others) so that I could spend more time and energy in activities with organizations that are more closely allied with education and patient care and less concerned with politics and protectionist trade policies.

P.S. Those Extra Letters following my DDS degree and name give testament that I am an Associate Fellow of the American Academy of Implant Dentistry. That means I have passed in-depth examinations in dental implantology including all phases of treatment related thereto. I took the written portion of the credentialing exam in Atlanta, Georgia under the auspices of the Medical College of Georgia where I took my advanced training. And I took the oral portion of the credentialing examination at the headquarters of the American Academy of Implant Dentistry in Chicago, IL.
